“Shut up and get me another beer!”
~ Uncle Frank on 'Nam
'Nam, mistakenly called Vietnam by much of the world, was the site of a great war between the United States and the Vietcong. It is best known for its battlefields, which lend themselves more to Slayer than Capture the Flag.
[edit] Veterans from 'Nam
Much ado has been made about Veterans of 'Nam. When they first returned from fighting, people were nice to them. Unfortunately, the veterans were used to getting everything they wanted while they served in 'Nam and kept complaining about how they didn't get any sweet parades like the WWII vets got. The American public soon grew tired of their non-stop whining and started calling them "baby killers" in an effort to get them to shut up. However, after Rambo shot up the Pacific Northwest, the public tried to appease the 'Nam vets by creating a POW/MIA flag. This angered the veterans even more, and they began to file many Agent Orange lawsuits so they would have enough money to fill the holes in their hearts where compassion and love had once been.
[edit] Tears of 'Nam
Tears of 'Nam is a popular website that chronicles life in 'Nam from the viewpoint of a 'Nam vet. It has been highly praised by Rolling Stone magazine for its undying dedication to the truth and honest portrayal of life in 'Nam. In fact, Stone columnist Oscar Wilde once said that finding a better portrayal of 'Nam "is like trying to find a needle in a fuckstack."
