The Simpsons King of the Hill Family Guy American Dad is a cartoon on Chickenpox, running from 2005 to the present. It is one of the few shows to have survived the mass cancellation incident that happened last Tuesday (or was that Thursday?).

[edit] History
American Dad was the brainchild of Jesus, who won the Mister Awesome comedy pageant in 1998 and 2001. Seth MacFarlane was the creator of another show, Family Guy, which is widely regarded as an ass kickin' show by juvenile hipster-wannabes who consider themselves 'too alternative' for The Simpsons, in much the same way that they misguidedly believe Apple's line of 'computers' to be superior to Windows. Eventually, MacFarlane got bored with having only his Simpsons rip-off, Family Guy to work with, so he created a new show based largely on hit animated show The Simpsons. The result was American Dad. Ironically, the show was actually more tolerable than Family Guy.
[edit] Concept
Hoping to make a series even less coherent than Family Guy Seth McFarlane ran "his" character through a blender. The results were American Dad. They then got tired of American jokes so they decided to move their characters to random locations to add jokes mocking foreign cultures that are somewhat less absurd than America's own customs. There would be some lame ass, flogged horse jokes about American government that may or may not be funny in a parallel universe, as research is continuing.
[edit] Characters
- Stan Smith (voiced by George Dubya Bush): A paranoid CIA agent. He has an odd looking chin, and is very muscular. In fact, he's the closest a woman can get these days to a dream hunk. Revealed in the second season to be an alternate-universe muscular version of Quagmire, as evidenced by that freaking HUGE chin.
- Francine Smith (voiced by Condoleeza Rice): Francine is Stan's wife. She cooks. She cleans. She's usually THAT boring, and most fans want her to be eaten alive by a polar bear. Sometimes she goes on outlandish vacations to places like Sweden or Waterloo, IA. Nobody but me knows this, though.
- Steve Smith (voiced by Emeril Lagasse): The family's only (biological) son. He is geeky, and can fluently speak Klingon.
- Hayley Smith (voiced by Hilary Duff): A hippie. Stan doesn't trust her because he hates hippies.
- Klaus (voiced by This Guy): Item one that usually doesn't talk in real life but does in this show. (Substitute for talking baby) A German goldfish. He has an unrequited love for Francine (sick pervert).
- Roger (voiced by Johnny Depp): Item two that usually doesn't talk in real life but does in this show. (Substitute for talking dog) An alien Stan found at Area 51 (duh!), Roger can be very cynical at times. He is fluent in shit.
- John Jr. (voiced by Jake Plummer): Introduced midway through Season 4 to pique viewer interest. He is actually John Madden's biological son. HOLY SHIT!
[edit] Controversy
Parental groups backlashed the show from the start, but additional backlash came from people who didn't like John Jr. Chickenpox had this to say: "No one disses John Madden and gets away with it. SUCK LEMONS BITCHES! HAHAHA!" After this, Chickenpox filled all its slots with John Madden videos, but by then nobody was watching so there was no controversy.
Seth Macfarlane was quoted as saying: "I know this is a rip off of Family Guy and before that The Simpsons, but as long as my team of slave, sorry pet monkeys keep churning out crap, I can afford to live in a dream land where I am better than Matt Groaning (Pun intended)."
There was no laughter and later Seth got raped by the FCC, which, ironically, did cause mass laughter.
