[edit] History
Founded in 1873, Boone's Farm is the only wine "farm" in existence with the capacity to grow 20 different flavors of grapes, including Pina Colada and Country Kwencher. Originally based in California, Boone's Farm has expanded to 12 different countries on four continents. While other wineries have stagnated and faltered, Boone's Farm has been a constant success, due to their many different flavors of grapes and their unique distribution system. And Strawberry Hill was the very first flavor distributed bt Boone's.
[edit] Distribution
The Boone's Farm Corporation has a unique distribution setup. Rather than sell their wines at large, commercial wine-houses and restaurants, they distribute mainly to fine gas stations and convenience stores around the world. This ground-breaking sales strategy means that everyone, not just wine aficionados sees their wines. Thus, when common people strike it rich or are being taken out to dinner, they know to ask for Boone's Farm, and not some inferior wine. And because even snooty, wine-drinking Saab owners need to fill up every now and then, they still reach their target audience.
[edit] Awards
Boone's Farm's wines have won hundreds of awards in every category imaginable. Their Limited Release wines are only available online, through the Farmers Wine Club or at its tasting room in Pennsyltucky, US.
[edit] Boone's Farm wine storage
Fresh Boone's can be stored under the seat of your car up to five days before spoiling.
An open bottle will survive refrigerated in the original packaging for 2 weeks, provided you cap it with saran wrap and a rubber band first.
Check labels on country-style Boone's. Some can be stored in a cool place for one to two months, but keep in mind that over time, evaporation shrinks and solidifies country Boone's.
Freezing unopened Boone's wine is pointless, since it already tastes freezer-burned.
Read labels carefully on Boone's bottles. Some require vigorous shaking before refrigeration, even before opening. Those that do generally have a better flavor and sediment distribution than those left unshaken.
