Cat and girl

Cat and Girl is a web comic about a girl and her anthropomorphic cat written by Robert Gober. Generally accepted as a sex farce, the strip is beautifully drawn (and anatomically correct) while the banal dialog provides only the thinnest of veneers for a plot. The strip tends to appeal to aging college professors, punk rockers, and pre-adolescent boys.

Girl, the protagonist. Light-hearted and good-natured, she nonetheless has a tendency to misquote Oscar Wilde. Thus casting her as a pseudo-intellectual only heighten her sensual appeal. Left-leaning politically, she still has a soft-spot for evangelical Christians and the administration of Woodrow Wilson.
Cat is the "every-man", the guy next door, the fellow you want to invite to your party, the dentist you wish you had, the whipped creme on your latte, the glint in your daddy's eye. His only vise -- ingesting toxic chemicals -- is seen as an indictment against the lowered morals of the North American pigeon -- or Big Tobacco, which ever seems more esoteric.
Grrl (pronounced "grrl") is the angry feminist and arch-enemy of Girl. Her constant pleas to turn from her wicked ways and embrace Scientology fall on deaf ears. No one likes Tom Cruise any more, anyway.
Boy is the optimist of bunch. Many strips end with the Boy saying the punch line, "C-c-can't we all just get along?" Boy is not black but has been beaten by local fire fighters on occasion. Actually, they only roughed him up a bit. Well, maybe only forced him to buy tickets to Backdraft.
That Vampire-Looking Guy With The Sunglasses Who Use To Be Cool is a minor character.
Dog is a dog owned by Boy. His is not anthropomorphic. He's just a dog. This is why this comic is known as being "edgy"; it's pushing the limits here. Cat has a cat too. Not an anthropomorphic cat, just a cat. It's supposed to be Dada or something, I guess. Like Goofy is an anthropomorphic dog and Pluto is just a dog. And we wonder why an entire generation was screwed up. Sorry, was I still typing? That was all supposed to be in my head. ^H^H^H^H^H Damn! What's wrong with my backspace key?! This is the last time I buy a Mac. And it looked so cool on PVP.
