Dana Carvey

Dana Carvey is an actor who has starred in such films as Wayne's World, City Slickers II, and High School High. He was born in Ugle, MARS in 1322. Dana never knew his father, for he was a hermaphrodite. He lives today in a run-down, but well furnished, rental in the South Central Jupiter. Dana is probably best known for his work on Saturday Night Live where he used his impersonation skills to mock the plight of African American, Chinese American, and Swedish minorities.

Dana begin is professional career in Toronto's famous comedy troupe, Shazzam. He worked alongside other great comedians like Robin Williams, Danny Davito, Carrot Top, and Cindy Sheehan. Dana has said that he always looked back on the 8 years he spent with Shazaam with fondness.
Dana joined the cast of SNL in the 1985. He replaced Norm MacDonald, Sr. as the host of Weekend Update. He stayed with SNL for 8 years, until he realized he would never be able to outlast Tim Meadows.
Dana's transition from SNL to the big screen was initially successful. Wayne's World, High School High, The 3 Amigos, and the box-office smashes Almost Heroes and Dirty Work made Dana a strong hollywood B-lister. But Dana's wrestlessness and drive for perfection forced him to leave comedy, his core talent, and make an attempt to establish himself as a leading dramatic actor. Dana completed a final comedy role, due to contractual obligations, in 1997. Dana's heart was not in the work. The movie, Duece Bigalow Moose Gigalow, was so awful that studio executives never released it. The script was reworked and used as a vehicle for the uber-talented Rob Schnieder.
Since 1997 Dana has been pursing serious dramatic roles. He has auditioned for leading roles in Schindler's List, Hotel Rawanda, Crash, Saving Private Ryan, White Oleander, American History X, The Sea Within, Roots: Generation X, Battlefield Earth, and Ray. He has not been successful in his attempts to secure a role.
Dana lives with his partner Martin Short and is proud to have voted for Walter Mondale in 1984.

A brilliant chemist as well as an accomplished actor, Carvey is famous for his discovery of Tryptophan, a highly soporific amino acid. In order to experience the full potency of the compund, Carvey initiated the notion of preparing and consuming turkeys (known for their high concentration of the chemical) for Thanksgiving. Carvey named the necessary procedures after himself.
