For those without comedic tastes, the so-called experts at Wikipedia have an article about Danny Phantom.

Danny "Phartass" Fenton (b. August 12 1987) is member of the Ghostbusters who joined the team after they defeated the evil wizard ghost, Vigo the Carpathian. He is also the only member of the Ghostbusters to be half human and half ghost. Danny's "ghost powers" have come in handy many times for the Ghostbusters, especially when they are fighting an extremely powerful supernatural force such as King Boo and the Flying Spaghetti Monster. According to some sources, Danny left his hometown and came to New York City because the Ghostbusters had heard of him and decided to enlist his help in their battle against the supernatural.

Mild-mannered freshman Danny Fenton, whom constantly gets made fun of at school, has the unique ability to become even more queer than he already is by "going ghost". By going ghost he gains the supernatural abilities of white hair, a black costume, and the power to go through walls. Experts are quick to point however, that to "go ghost", Danny typically injects 3-4 grams of crystal meth directly into his bloodstream. So chances are very high that Danny is just imagining all his escapades as a ghost boy, and he is in a persistantly delusional state of psychosis and schizophrenia.

Because of his heroic exploits in New York City and Amity Park, a short lived documentary series about Danny's life, history and ghostly exploits was made by film director Ivan Reitman and journalist Butch Hartman who was famous for making the television series known as The Fairly OddParents, about the life of crazy abused stoner Timothy "Timmy" Turner and his imaginary friends Cosmo and Wanda that he refers to as his "fairy god parents".

The series aired on Nickelodeon and lasted for only 54 episodes. The series would have lasted longer had Invader Zim not ordered his robot servant (who was president of Nickelodeon at the time) to have the series cancelled. Due to the series' popularity, a short lived comic book series from DC Comics was spawned, called "Danny Phantom Comics". Thirty five issues of "Danny Phantom Comics" were published and are now worth around $50.00 per comic book. (For more info see Danny Phantom Comics.)

Danny Phantom's relationship with Sam Manson is a very confusing one. They stared in the adult film Danny Phantom gets Lucky but said that their actions in the film had been "completely platonic" and "SOOO GOOD!". When Danny began to date Raven Sam was unfased saying, "Who cares? Raven's so busy beings all scary and vampire like that I can have Danny whenever I want." rumors of Sam being pregnant with his child have been disproved. Recently Danny claimed that he hadn't dated a goth, saying that this goth was a lesbian. Turns out she was and Danny joined her and her lesbian lover (who turned out to be his sister Jazz) in bed. Since he and Sam have never dated, "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?" Danny asked, it has been assumed that he was reffering to Raven. Due to this Danny, Raven, and Sam have put aside their difference and now they share Danny. Rumor has it that they are planning to film another adult movie called Danny Phantom gets Lucky 2: Three for the Price of One.
