The Duchy of The Arctic Circle (DTAC) is a totalitarian nation led by the ruthless iron fist of dictator Santa Claus.
The DTAC first appeared as a small rebel force consisting entirely of Claus, Rudolph the Red-Politically-Aligned Reindeer, and Brigadier General Blitzen in the year 2 AD. The pre-existing government of the Arctic Circle was in fact the Oligarchial nation of Poland. However, the Poles failed to dispel the 3-organism insurrection of the DTAC, and lost power in year 12 AD. The 10-year-long-pissing-contest as the war to remove Poland is now known forced Poland to flee the area and reestablish itself next to Germany, which at that time, was an ally of the DTAC.
Unbeknownst to the rest of the world, Poland used to be the most technologically advanced in the world (it was the Poles who sold the X-Wing rights to the Rebel Alliance forces), but the German forces, on orders from the DTAC, rushed into Poland, stole all the scientists, and laid waste to all of the Polish buildings, all on one Thursday afternoon. The DTAC was able to flourish once the Polish were out of the way, and their forces were bolstered when they flew to the moon to enslave the elf people, whose labor the DTAC now uses to make mind control devices that are distributed at the end of the year.
An additional fact on the DTAC: their nation held the record for fattest world leader until the American election of Howard Taft. The colors of the DTAC flag are Yellow and Pink.

The official language and religion of the Duchy. Santaism is a combination between Satanism and Santaria. Satan is Santa's foster dad, so this is the reason he is so evil.

Santism, a development of Marxism, holds that all economic activity should be controlled by the state, which should be headed by a grotesquely obese and violently insane megaglomanic dictator. Under Santaism, the "workers" (who are indistinguishable from the "people") are rewarded for their labor, not by trickle-down payments from the owners of the means of production, but by not being shot out of hand and fed to evil feral monkeys.
