Eastern european black hole

The Eastern European black hole is a phenomena in which areas (not necessarily in Eastern Europe) simply cease to exist in world history. For example, all of Eastern Europe was effectively non-existant until its people were stumbled upon and subsequently slaughtered by the mongols. It the dropped off the face of the world again until the war of Austrian succession.

Another prime example is the entire continent of Africa. For thousands of years Egypt existed as an empire. After it was conquered and then abandoned by the Romans, this last fragment of Africa was wiped off the map until the Brits came and dug up their graves and the Arabs declared a Jihad against Said Brits. The Brits then said "Jolly Good" Proceeded to raise shit among the Arabs and fought along side of them against the Turks, who were too busy eating Turkish delight to care about the Brits or Arabs. After The African front in World War Two, Egypt has once again began to revert into timeless nothingness.

Perhaps the best example is Sweden. Swedes were vaguely thought of as "vikings" until ABBA released powerfully emotional and moving songs such as "The Day I Kissed The Teacher." Since then, we have seen name recognition for "Volvo" and "Ikea" shoot up way above name recognition for "Sweden."

You may note that you are from one of the areas on the map. If so, Get out now! You are being sucked into an infinite cosmic sinkhole and this is your only chance to leave before you are frozon in time until someone actually goes to your area. Which will be never!!!!

There have been theories put forward that this black hole could be used for space travel, but since Christopher Columbus didn't teleport instantly to Uranus, nobody actually bothers to try. Besides, they might get stuck in Yemen or Papua New Guinea, never to return. And who would want to risk that? We have to draw the line somewhere. As in below this sentence. You know its there.

Unfortunately, due to the creation of satellite imaging, the black hole has been forced to withdraw to places like Darfur, The Central African Republic and Soviet Canuckistan that no one cares about. Help save the hole! Down with sattelites! JIHAD!!!
