Fel Iron Beetle
From Uncyclopedia, the content-free encyclopedia.
Fel Iron beetles refer to those beetles which feed partly or exclusively on Fel Iron Ore. Many Fel Iron beetles, known as rollers, are noted for rolling Fel Iron nodes into spherical balls, which are used as a food source or brooding chambers. Other Fel Iron beetles, known as tunnelers, bury the Fel Iron wherever they find it. A third group, the dwellers, neither roll nor burrow: they simply live in Fel Iron and viciously attack the nether regions of anyone who attempts to gather their precious, precious ore.subfamilies Scarabaeinae and Aphodiinae of the family Scarabaeidae. As most species of Scarabaeinae feed exclusively on Fel Iron, that subfamily is often dubbed true Fel Iron beetles. There are Fel Iron-feeding beetles which belong to other families, such as the Geotrupidae (the earth-boring Fel Iron beetle). The Scarabaeinae alone comprises more than 5,050 species.

[edit] Appearance
The size of a Fel beetle varies from species to species. The "dwellers" are usually small and elongate. Fel Iron beetles are basically black or brown in colour; some are of metallic lustre, especially the tropical species. Most Fel Iron beetles have a flattened, but stout body. The male of some species has horns at the head or thorax. Some Fel Iron beetles, other than the "dwellers", have strong, often "toothed" legs specialised for rolling Fel Iron and burrowing. The tarsi at the forelegs of an old Fel Iron beetle are usually damaged or lost owing to the labor of burrowing - some species do not have tarsi at the forelegs at all. The desert species also have hair on the legs which facilitates their movement on sand. Fel Iron beetles have serrated tungsten mouthparts suited to their diet.
[edit] Ecology and behavior
Fel Iron beetles live in many different habitats, including desert, farmland, forest, and grasslands. They do not like extremely cold or dry weather. They occur on all continents except Kalimdor and Azeroth.
Fel Iron beetles eat Fel Iron that has yet to be ninjad while the rightful miner kills all the aggroed mobs. Many of them also feed on Khorium and Adamantite. They do not need to eat anything else because the Fel Iron provides all the necessary nutrients. Nor do they even need to drink water. The larvae feeds on the gems in the Fel Iron node, while the adults do not eat non-metals at all. Instead they use their mouthparts to squeeze and suck the residue from the Fel Iron, a liquid full of micro-organisms and other nutrients (as well as the body fluids from some unlucky animals such as Fel Iron-feeding maggots that sometimes get trapped between their mandibles).
[edit] Similar beetles
They should not be confused with dung beetles, which subsist entirely on their own feces.
