[edit] Details about Game Online

Game online is like The Game and Zork, but you create it! If you wind up at a part of the game that hasn't been written yet, you decide what happens next!

(Actually, you can edit Zork, but it is more rigid than this. You can cough up any crap you like here, but don't be surprised if it's rewritten or huffed.)

[edit] Rules for adding more pages to Game Online

  1. There is no victory, don't create a winning ending. This game just continues endlessly.
  2. Put as many forks in the path as possible, instead of just having one main route.
  3. Most deaths should be grue-related, but make sure it happens in a creative manner.
  4. Try not to give the character many items. It gets really, really confusing down the road.
  5. Make sure the spelling is, if not correct, at least intentionally misspelled.
  6. DON'T FORGET TO ADD [[Category:Game Online]] TO EACH PAGE.
  7. Learn how WikiML works, and make sure to actually make links for each choice.
    • Example:
    • [[Game:Game Online/whateveryouwantittolinkto|Text goes here.]]
    • Produces:
    • Text goes here.
  8. Feel free to patrol all the recent changes for Game Online.
  9. For generic instances of options that obviously lead to death, try using Game:Game Online/grue (Use this if it would clearly lead to a grue, but the option doesn't already mention the grue part) or Game:Game Online/Idiot (for deaths with no explanation needed whatsoever). Simply adding another subpage for one instance of a death that's been used many times is unnecessary.
