Possibly the most widely noted verse of the Bible, Chapter 3, Verse 16 of the Gospel of John is thought by many theologians to sum up the Word of God:

"You can fool some of the people all of the time, and those are the ones you want to concentrate on."

You… - God loves You, and this is an instructional statement from Him to You
…can fool… - the central concept of organized religion and government
…some of the people… - outwitting others is achieved through faith, not human works
…all of the time… - references “As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end”
…and those are the ones… - implies the doctrine of hell for unbelievers
…you want to concentrate on. – salvation is open to all, but the real reward is for You, the truly smart and saved.

The original Greek is as follows:

Μπορείτε ανόητος μερικοί από τους ανθρώπους όλος ο χρόνος, και εκείνοι είναι αυτοί που θέλετε να επικεντρωθείτε.

This could be literally translated as: Can foolish certain from the persons all the time, and those are those where you want to be focused.

American Standard Version: They can deceive some the people all the time, and those are those, which would like themselves to concentrate on you.

King James Version: Thou canst brail upon several of the Children of Time everlastingly; yea, these be they that thou wishest to focus thyself upon.

New International Version: Some of the time it is possible to deceive and, as for those people, it is something which you think that you would like to ponder on.

Good News Translation: The person of the hour when it spreads out all what kind of, there is a possibility to act foolishly, them you concentrate upon as above and Sip them.

Both the believing and unfaithful public have had a great deal of fun with John 3:16. People have carried it into sporting events, airport lounges, and gameshows. Extremely playful and good with children, John 3:16 likes to be seen on TV and as the sometime object of parody, can laugh at itself.
