Noah Bennet

Noah Bennet (born 21 February 1958 in Easton, Pennsylvania) is a super hero. Or villain. Or something.
At first glance, Noah Bennet appears to be an ordinary businessman who works at the Primatech Paper Company and lives in Odessa, Texas, with his wife and two children. However, he and his associates have actually travelled the world for a number of years investigating superhuman phenomena. Bennet claims that he assists them in learning to use their powers, although there are sometimes unintended consequences. One of Bennet's associates is a Time Lord known as The Haitian, who has the power of wiping out memories and suppressing super powers. Others include Eden McCain, a doctor called "Hank," and a woman called "Lisa". In the past, he has also worked with the Doctor, a mysterious time traveller. Also he could turn invisible for some reason. His true agenda and overall affiliation are still mysterious. What is known about him is that he, like his daughter possesses a super power: That power? Awesomeness.

[edit] Early Life
Many years ago, Noah travelled with the Doctor in his TARDIS. During a brief stop on Earth, he rescued Claire from the fire her biological mother caused with her pyrokinesis. However, because the Doctor was one the run from the Time Lords, Bennet was forced to stay on Earth for Claire's safety, as well as his own.

[edit] Abductions and General Messing With People
In 2006, Bennet turned the wanted criminal and mind controller Eden McCain into one of his operatives. At about the same time, he was contacted by Chandra Suresh, who had found Claire's picture on her high school's web site, after identifying her as having potential powers. After Chandra left, Bennet ordered Eden to become a neighbour of Chandra and remove Claire's name from Chandra's list of super powered humans.
After Chandra's death, Noah went to New York to investigate, where he encountered Chandra's son, Mohinder. Feeling it'd been too long since he last did something awesome, he decided to freak Mohinder out by randomly coming up to him and telling him all sorts of stuff abut his father. This scared the shit out of Mohinder.
Returning home to Odessa, Noah was hit with two shocking events. First, he discovered his daughter's super power, and second, she asked him for help in locating her biological parents. Most people would panic, but Noah's awesomeness power saved the day and he was able to shrug it off.
The next week, Noah kidnapped Matt Parkman, a mind reader, and performed some weird tests on him. No reason was given for this, and Noah had the Haitian wipe Matt's memory afterwards. Then he just went home and had a conversation with his daughter. Awesomeness at work again.
Later that day, he decided to spy on congressional candidate Nathan Petrelli, and on a whim, took the Haitian to go try to kidnap him. When Nathan escaped by flying away, Noah was unimpressed.
When a boy tried to rape Claire, Noah punished him by having the Haitian wipe all his memories. If there'd been any witnesses (and if the Haitian had left them their memories), it'd be pretty clear by this point that you don't fuck with Noah. But there weren't, and so the lesson went unlearned, and people continued to try to fuck with him and felt the full might of his awesomeness.
To top it all off, feeling that he could still get a bit more awesomeness in, Noah hired a couple of people to pretend to be Claire's biological parents.
While carefully the to imposters, Bennet received a call from Eden, his spy in New York. Eden relayed information about Mohinder, Isaac Mendez ("the precog") and the message "save the cheerleader, save the world." Bennet is disturbed by the last part, but nothing can shake this being of pure awesome. Bennet tells Eden to prevent Mohinder from leaving New York and to "bring in the precog."
[edit] Saving Claire
Bennet asks Isaac, whom Eden "persuaded" to come with her, to help him to prevent Claire from being murdered by Sylar at her homecoming game the next night. Bennet had collected three previous paintings Isaac created depicting a terrified Claire close-up, running up the bleachers in a football stadium, and lying dead on the ground with the top of her skull removed. A normal man might lose his cool at this point, but not Noah. In fact, he decides to get Isaac, a recovering heroin addict, to take some more heroin, and uses Eden's mind control powers to get it done. Just for laughs.
Unfortunately, Isaac was unable to paint any more useful pictures, which pissed Noah off, so he ordered Eden, a girl, to go to the homecoming game and look for Sylar, a vicious serial killer with super powers, and grounds Claire.
Bennet discovered later, however, that Claire snuck out anyway, so he ran to the school to find her. When he arrived, he discovered that the cheerleader in the pictures was Jackie Wilcox, though, not Claire, so he stopped worrying and just took Claire home. Claire revealed to him that she would've been OK anyway, because she can recover from any injury, including death, and he reveals that he actually knew that, but had to save her anyway, because he's just that awesome.
A few days later, Noah decided to check what actually happened with Eden and Sylar, and found the latter confined in a prison cell; apparently Eden was pretty awesome herself. Eden offered to use her powers to persuade Sylar to kill himself, but Bennet declined, because that seemed far too easy.

[edit] FBI Investigation
Early in 2007, Primatech Paper was investigated by the FBI, specifically by Matt Parkman. Unfazed, however, by Matt's mind-reading abilities, Noah even went so far as to taunt him.
After the FBI had left, Noah went to check on Sylar, only to find him dying. This was not acceptable. He demands the doctors keep him alive, but alas, they just aren't awesome enough. He greeted the news as "less than ideal.", but decided to ship Sylar's body off somewhere for further indignities. n going to down to the cell to see that his orders were carried out, Noah found that Sylar had escaped and planned to go kill Claire, but Noah managed to stop him through sheer force of awesomeness. Also, the Haitian helped.
[edit] The Return of the Doctor
Isaac called Bennet to tell him that he'd managed to locate his old friend, the Doctor, and so Noah and the Haitian went to find him. On arriving at the given location, they found that the Doctor was travelling with Peter Petrelli.
Stung by the rejection, and wanting his own TARDIS, Noah fired his Taser at the Doctor, but Peter unexpectedly utilized his powers to stop the electrodes and fly away from them.
[edit] Betrayal of Primatech
After being held hostage by Ted Sprague and Matt Parkman, Noah decided to turn the tables a bit and start screwing with his own employers. Unfortunately, his awesomeness alone was no match for their combined super powers, and he was imprisoned.
They made a terrible mistake though when they didn't kill him: They should've known he was awesome enough to MacGyver his way out of the cell, using nothing more than his own mind... and Matt and Ted.
The three then decided to really piss off Primatech, by destroying their tracking system. Despite owning at least 1 car between them, the three decided to steal one, as it was more convenient and headed for New York.
The three arrived at Kirby Plaza, in which was held two the super-powered children Micah Sanders and Molly Walker and found Claire and Peter were there too. Unfortunately, Peter started absorbing Ted's power, which was to explode - worst power ever - and couldn't control it. Noah remained unimpressed.
Peter, Claire, and Sprague pissed off to Nebraska, only Parkman had the stones to carry on with Noah. Bluffing their way thrugh on shear awesome (and mind reading), they found two more super heroes, Jessica and DL Sanders, who were there to kill Linderman. Noah liked the plan and told them where to find him. Noah then killed some guy called Thompson with two point-blank gunshots to the head, just in case anyone was still wondering about how awesome he is.
The two then proceeded to find the tracking system, where Matt was surprised to find it's a young girl — Noah remained unimpressed - whom Matt had previously rescued from Sylar, and who thought of Matt as her hero. Matt protested killing her, but Bennet was man enough to know that sometimes you just have to kill a little girl.
The girl's life was spared, however, when Noah got distracted by the news of an imminent nuclear explosion just outside, and went to take a look.
[edit] Living in Hiding
After the incidents in New York, the Bennets went into hiding, moved to Costa Verde, California, and assumed the last name of "Butler." Noah took a subordinate job at a copy store called Copy Kingdom, where he immediately asserted his authority by being too awesome for his boss to handle.
Noah could not be content with this life though, and despite the obvious danger to himself and his family, continued to attack Primatech, and in his efforts, discovered a painting by Isaac showing his own death. He remained unimpressed.
Wanting to see more of Isaac's paintings, he took the Haitian to Odessa, Ukraine, to find his old mentor, Ivan. He had the Haitian remove precious memories (marriage day, kids being born, etc.) from the old man one by one until he succumbed and revealed the information. Then Noah burned his house down. He's just that awesome.
Some time later, Bob Bishop, his daughter Elle, and Mohinder arrived in Costa Verde to take Claire. Noah, was unable to prevent this, but did manage to capture Elle, and proved his awesomeness once again by turning her own power against her. Bob and Mohinder returned with Claire, and Mohinder shoots Noah right in the face.
For most people, this would be the end, but Noah is way too awesome to die, so Primatech was forced to bring him back to life.
