Rodney Hide
From Uncyclopedia, the content-free encyclopedia.
Rodney Hide AKA Big Rod (born 16 December 1956) is a New Zealand politician, leader of the political party ACT New Zealand and Member of Parliament for Epsom.
Hide first entered a Parliament in 1996 a month after the rest of the new politicians as the door wasn't wide enough for "Big Rod" and had to be rebuilt. Hide once said about this incident "A doors gotta be wide to fit Mr Hide." Rodney also has a special seat in parliament built just for him because his bottom is just to gosh darn big for a normal seat.
His good friend Don Brash (Now deceased) once said "It's really hard to play hide and seek with Big Rod because theres no place big enough for him to hide he just so easy to find, Its also really hard to play tag because I can catch him in like 10 seconds."
Hide has a reputation for his Classically Liberal views, for his "Perk Buster" profile, and for his suberb clothing style. Some commentators dubbed him the "Best of the opposition" when he still sat on the ineffective MPs. His supporters often described him as one of the most effective opposition MPs, and praise him for his motivation and commitment.
[edit] Dancing with the Stars
Recently Rodney has appeared on the celebrity dance show "Dancing with the Stars" on TV1. Hide's performances over the first two weeks have been considered fantastic by both the judges and the viewing public. Luckily for Hide, most viewers really dislike him and want to watch him squirm, therefore voting him into the latter rounds.
Rodney's dance partner is Betelgeuse, which is a semi-irregular variable star that is a red supergiant, which has been cruelly suggested complements the redneck supergiant. The undeniable success of Rodney on this show, has led to a flirtation with the Winstone First Party (Populist) and persisting rumours that the leader of the National Party(Centre-Right), Dr Don Brash with appear in the next series, riding a Blackhole suitably named the 'Anti-charisma'.
