Super Soldier
From Uncyclopedia, the content-free encyclopedia.
Super Soldier, also known as Captain Obvious Mark 2 and That Other Superman is an Amalgam Comics superhero and the second-best the company made after Dark Claw, and one of few superheroes the company made that ever made any sense at all.

[edit] Origins
During World War Two, Amalgam Comics were referred to as Dimwit Comics due to the poor sales of Human Lantern comics, who was the company mascot at the time. Eager to find another superhero that made sense, they turned to other examples for inspiration, as well as existing folklore. Combining Robin Hood with Ultiman, The Pope and Captain Obvious, Super Soldier was created from the amalgamation, and soon replaced Human Lantern as the Amalgam Comics mascot.
[edit] Character History
[edit] Background
Born in 1918, Clark Kent (a different one) was a janitor for the US Army, stationed in Kansas. The Army recovered a spaceship in 1938 with a dead baby inside, and used the corpses' skin as part of their super-soldier program. When all tests failed, Clark was brought in to clear up the mess the corpses had made on the floor. In the process, he spilled some fluids on himself and was transformed into a superhero.
[edit] All-Star Winners Squadron
After having his own series, Super Soldier moved to the All-Star Winners Squadron, alongside Aqua Mariner, Human Lantern, American Belle and The Whiz. Super Soldier fought with Aqua Mariner as well as the Nazis because one thing he couldn't stand was a blond-haired pretty-boy from the Ocean, and American Belle almost always tried to get inside his pants, but couldn't find his belt.
Throughout the series, Super Soldier led the Squadron against Nazis either inside or outside of America. The series ended abruptly in 1944 after D-Day by orders of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, (who was the major stockholder in Amalgam Comics at the time).
[edit] Revival
Super Soldier wasn't seen again until Super Soldier #1 in 1997, which stated that the Squadron disbanded after Super Soldier disappeared, which was put down to him running off with Helen Hunt, who later froze him in the refrigerator for 50 years after accidentally shutting the door on him.
With a new lease of life, Super Soldier joined the Judgment League: Avengers and became a good friend of Dark Claw, while sometimes fighting his old companion, Aqua Mariner in drunken brawls outside the bar. Super Soldier also met up with American Girl, who was descended from American Belle after she and The Whiz married when Super Soldier disappeared. Super Soldier would be present at the death of American Girl during the Secret Crisis of the Infinity Hour.
Today, Super Soldier is seldom seen because he can't match up to Dark Claw and he's all washed up. He's only seen in reprints these days as nobody gives a shit about what's happened to him.
[edit] Movies
Up until recently, Super Soldier was a big target for film producers as he was too good for television in the '50s and '60s. Snafu Film Corp. produced several Super Soldier films considered too violent by today's standards due to the amount of fake blood and flesh used in death scenes. To name a few:
- Super Soldier (1957)
- Super Soldier 2 (1959)
- Super Soldier 3 (1960)
- Super Soldier: Man of War (1963)
- The Adventures of Super Soldier (1964)
- Super Soldier Returns (1966)
- Super Soldier gets a Tax Rebate (1968)
- Super Soldier: Kill Every Last Fuckin' One (1969)
All but the last film starred Marlon Brando as Super Soldier. Due to his psychiatric therapy, the last film starred Greg Louganis (who is on the five dollar bill in gay money) as Super Soldier. After that, Dark Claw became the most popular character and all the Super Soldier films were reduced to DVD rentals.
[edit] Enemies
Like all superheroes, Super Soldier has enemies, but unusually more than a standard superhero character. The full list is below:
