Good grammar is the difference between "I helped my uncle Jack, off of a horse." and "I helped my uncle jack off a horse."- Hank J. Wimbleton

It has come to that, has it?

I doubt that "off of" is considered pleasant grammar on any planet.
And shouldn't it be "I helped my uncle, Jack, off of a horse", with two commas?


how could you forget the best quote ever:

"I am king of Rome, and above grammar..." Sigismund, Holy Roman Emperor.
