Article policies

Generally, Uncyclopedia is funny, but this time it looks like they've just taken the White Supremacism/Fundamentalist Islam side.. Don't chop it, just make it funny.

Oh, and yeah, all religious people get laughed at in Uncyclopedia. Get used to it, or edit it yourself.

Although much of it is just like the rest of Uncyclopedia, MUCH OF THIS IS ANTI-SEMITIC. CLEAN THIS UP. IT IS NOT FUNNY.

Being a jew, I must say that though this article isn't as funny as the rest of uncyclopedia, some of it is a bit funny (especially the jewbacca joke :-) ), and I don't see any reason to destroy it (like the first edit on 16/3/2006 did).

Meh. I'm not offended (as a Jew, obviously), but it's really not that funny. It's a bit overdone and, as we say in hebrew, Chofer.

This article appears to be a very lame attempt at a sort of Borat-type satire, but this writer is no Sasha Baron Cohen. Trotting out some ancient slurs doesn't mean you're funny. This just comes off as anti-Semitic.

Listen, I am Jewish but this is really harmless stuff. Its not tasteless, and its not bashing the religion, etc. Just laugh at it. Second, if you want to be a good Jew, remember that Jew is not a race, it is a religion backed with cultural history.

Considering the amount of people wholly bigoted against Jews in general, it doesn't surprise me, but somebody seriously needs to get the comedy police into this article. Not that any of it is especially offensive...a lot of it is just awkward to read, when it devolves from humor to rant, especially towards the beginning with:

"These Jews are known for being business like and cultured. They are also known for being racist hypocrites with a victim complex. Their favored passtimes include capitalism, fussing, philosophizing, bulldozing Gaza, capitalism, complaining, networking, comedy, and capitalism."

It reads less like clever or entertaining humor, and more like angry, ineloquent polemic. I'm not trying to call this article out on account of politics- I'm calling it out on a general lack of humor. Like it says..."please be funny and not just stupid".

I'm going to have to agree with those who already pointed out the obvious here, it's not that funny - it's just very hateful, and hate isn't funny. I think that it should be ok to joke about religions and religious people, but there seem to be mostly anti-semitic stuff here and I think that if I were Jewish, I'd be pretty saddened that Uncyclopedia couldn't create something that wasn't so full of hatred and anti-semitic remarks. There should be enough fun things about being Jewish that are not based on hate.

Hmm, I guess the war against the 1st amendment is now reaching the internet. Only in the United States can seemingly every other political movie can bash Christians (exagerating but not by much), but just several harmless Jewish jokes can get someone fired and shunned. [edit] In need of serious overhaul

Macabre humor intended to imitate extreme bigotry for good satirical effect can be rather powerful if done correctly. I think that was the intent, but it fell seriously short of that. It is in need of some serious reworking in my opinion. As Uncyclopedia is intended to be satire, I think people who write such things should realize they may unintentionally do harm. People who were on the wrong end of the type of bigotry being satirized might keep in mind someone most likely meant it as satire and they may simply need to avoid reading it as it now stands. If obvious true bigotry rears its ugly head, instead of things simply done in questionable taste, I think it will be dealt with rather expediently and thoroughly by the peanut gallery and company. I could not stop laughing when I read this article. I would really like to contribute, and am knowledgeable about the Jew.. everything.
