Fun fact: Oswald the Lucky Rabbit was a character created by Walt Disney for Universal Studios. After a dispute with the management, Disney left Universal, taking with him some of the studio’s animators. He formed a rival studio and created Mickey Mouse, a character with some similarities to Oswald. The first Oswald film was Trolley Troubles, released on September 5, 1927. Oswald appeared in films up until 1943, with his last movie, The Egg-Cracker. --KP CUN 21:16, 28 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Notes:

Substituted ranger for marine. Marines weren't at Normandy. To the best of my knowledge, the marines were entirely in the Pacific theater.

Added the bit about brother Harvey and Elwood P. Dowd. Not sure how this fits in yet. --Marcos_Malo OUN S7fc BOotS Bur. | Talk 21:08, 28 Aug 2005 (UTC)

OK, filled in the Dowd connection. Hope this suits you.

The Dowd addition is perfect. It seems so in character. And the subtle references are pretty hilarious. --KP CUN 22:21, 28 Aug 2005 (UTC)
