Factual contension - some scholars maintain that the assertion that vikings enjoyed "raping and pillaging" in fact stemmed from a spelling error by the fourth century roman historian, Quaverus. Instead, these scholars claim that the original texts on viking lore related the viking interest in "rapping and pillaging", suggesting that the Afro-American musical style, 'rap music', was in fact the invetion of white bearded norse men. Commentators have pointed out, however, that these historians tend to be horribly racist. 81.104.246.247 00:02, 19 December 2006 (UTC) Dr J Ambrose R Edwards, PHd
