[edit] Tiamat - A Polka Band from Sweden.
Fronted by Johan Edlund, Tiamat (named after Sweden's leading manufacturer of industrial fertilizers) has undergone several style changes over the years, with the earliest incarnations of the band focusing on Xi'an drum music (Sumerian Fly, as well as earlier demos of the band, back when they went by the name Tre Blinka 182), then moving toward a happier sounds of Chimurenga (The Anal Sheep, Clouds). Unfortunately, shortly after the release of Clouds the band converted to Islam and moved to Lamu Island . The details remain unclear. Nobody has seen them since. The next five Tiamat albums have been recorded by sushi robots, secretly constructed be the Catholic Church.
Rumors are circulating that Johan Edlund has left Lamu Island and is currently residing in Al Amarja where he is assembling linear actuators.
[edit] Live Shows
Tiamat is well known for it's elaborate on-stage theatrics, including an extravagant ice ballet performed by a Southern African Bantu tribe, a simulated tractor pull and ritualistic slaughter accompanied by creative mulching.
On stage Tiamat's music is being performed by The San Francisco Symphony Boys Choir, while the band is seeking out potential victims in the audience.
Tiamat has toured Antarctica with country music legends like The Allman Brothers Band, Boyzone and Crack Slab-bath, and now, even in the absence of all original members, with the new line-up of sushi robots Tiamat is stronger than ever.
