Trebuchet
From Uncyclopedia, the content-free encyclopedia.
Trebuchets are a type of siege weapon invented by Micheal Jackson for the climactic battle of his epic The Lord of the Rings trilogy, which was later adapted to movie form by J.R.R. Tolkien.
After the final installment of Lord of the Rings, several nations including Australia and the United States of America decided trebuchets would be a weapon to include in their movies too.
[edit] Mechanics
A trebuchet works by raising a heavy stone, and dropping it. Once you try this and realize it just sort of compresses some dirt and maybe kills some grass you realize you should have attached it to a big wooden see-saw and used it to fling disembodied heads into your neighbor's yard. The biggest obstacles you have to overcome when operating a trebuchet are Nazgul and men on horses swinging swords at ropes.
A trebuchet costs 1500 gold to build unless you have a furnace, in which case it costs 1400 gold or less to build, and has a range of 16. It can be destroyed by anything really, and is pathetic because it's hard for it to kill moving soldiers, and it is a siege weapon. It is good against stupid AI, who just let their soldiers stand there and die. It will also often be your best choice of weapon if you're a wimp and just want to hit something from a long distance away. Unless you happen to have some gunpowder. In that case, opt for a canon.
