Agadir, Morocco-In a stunning display of imperial power, German officials today confirmed that the gunboat Panther had been ordered to the port of Agadir. Calling it the Third Moroccan Crisis, British Prime Minister Tony Blair insisted the vessel be immediately withdrawn.

Eurotrash-ally France has been eyeing the city as a possible protectorate in light of recent disclosures concerning tourism revenues and effective manufacturing and warehousing of Ikea products. Moroccan King Mohammed VI was initially reported as saying "OMGWTF??!" but his public statement a half-hour later read:

Morocco is not a member of the African Union; however, we are a Group 77 member and major NATO ally. What the hell is going on here?! I know I haven't been in charge very long, but this is ridiculous. We have the ships. We have the weapons. We need...you! Warm it all up! Everything you've got!

In the face of this powerful eloquence, the Kaiser issued a comment later, stating: Who ya foolin'? The German government clarified the purpose of the Panther's mission as a symbol of Moroccan independence.

UN Secretary General Koffi Annan, on Mars for an official visit, was unable to be reached for comment.
