When they first noticed the dark equatorial regions on Titan, researchers thought they could be looking at oceans of liquid methane. But new radar images taken by NASA's Cassini spacecraft has provided the answer: liquid Guinness. The images show vast oceans of the dark coloured ale flowing freely across the surface of Titan. Small tidal currents have been detected showing that the tides flow in and out with regards to the angle in which the ocean is to Saturn.

Scientists have yet to conclude whether this find could result in the existence of life on Titan but many conclude that if life did exist within the oceans of Titan then the alcoholic toxicity of the organisms body would be too high to exhibit intelligent life, instead, it would exhibit an intelligence normally found in a typical Irish pub. The Guinness ocean is thought to have a froth depth of about 2 - 3 metres and thus any attempts to view the interior of the ocean has so far failed.

The ocean has already broke world records with it appearing in the Guinness book of world records as the largest ocean made entirely of Guinness.
