Writer of the Month

January 2006

David Gerard beat out down Charles Dickens for the win.

David_Gerard (TalkContribs (del)EditcountBlock (rem-lst-all)LogsGroups)

  • For I vote for him cause he's thr first in the list. --User:csaba
  • Not only is David friendly and appreciative — two traits that should get him kicked off the admin list — he is also the author of one of my favorite articles, Fountainhead Earth, and can go from page creation to Featured status in under a week. Because of this I hereby nominate him for WotM and cast my vote as well. ---Rev. Isra (talk) 22:36, 28 Dec 2005 (UTC)
  • For - I know it's only December 28, but I've got to agree with Isra's sentiments. He gave me some good comments on one of my early works. Huzzah, and all that. Jlove1982 03:43, 29 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Charles Dickens

Underwire support ~ In retrospect, A Sale of Two Titties wasn't the worst book I ever read. It was rather good, really. And yes, I know he's run against David before, but it was a stalemate then too. I need lift and separation resolution. -- T. (talk) 15:47, 1 Jan 2006 (UTC)

His short, pointless edits couple with terrible grammer to create his own abomination of the English language. Furthermore, it is far from "piratesque", the only variation he could have an excuse to use. --His Royal Majesty, Simulacrum Caputosis the Great 20:27, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

February 2006

Two richly deserving writers battled it out this month, with Todd Lyons snatching victory after an end-of-the-month surge past Slackerboy. I don't even know if Anidnmeno has written anything.

With five featured articles under his belt, including The Oldest Trick in the Book and the brilliantly un-PC satire Niggers, this boy is no slacker. After losing the race for WotM last June with the flip of a coin, Slack deserves another another shot at the title. But watch out, astadt nominated his competition that month too. • Nomination and Vote. Besides his formerly featured articles Fecal E. Coli and The Night After Christmas, he has other two CURRENTLY making their way through VFH. Both Xiao and Slackerboy is a good writer, but is he ACTIVE these days? Todd is.--Rataube 17:05, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
Comment ~ In Slack and Xiao's defense I must say that they are both still writing. They just don't post publically as often as I do, so it's easier to overlook their presence and valuable contributions. But thank you. I accept the nomination, but am withholding my vote until near the end of the month. There are certainly more talented writers than myself.  :) T. (talk) 17:23, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
