18. For. often people say the cowardly frenchman is a cliché. They may be right, but at least this is well-executed. 1. Pretty tired of the overdone "French are cowards" theme. Lafayette, Joan of Arc, Charlemagne, and Napoleon are all forgotten, and all everyone seems to remember is their defeat in WWII. If I remember my history right(unlikely), Napoleon ultimately lost in Russia through stupidity(attack Russia in winter? Dumb), Lafayette was thrown out of France, and Joan of Arc lost and was captured at 18(or so). Oh, and they didn't just lose World War II.
