[edit] Step 1: Find a site
Just do a Google search for "Myspace profile layouts", and pop something up. For this guide, we will be using [1]. Remember, the more options the site has, the cooler you can make your profile.
[edit] Step 2: Choose a background
First decide on a colour, you can go with one you like, or you can just click here.
However, just a plain colour is boring, so it's best to put a background image too. Let's say you like My Chemical Romance, just Google Image Search for it, and click the first thing that pops up. Then click "view full-size image" at the top, and copy and paste the URL for the background image. If the generator asks you for more background, move on to another image search, etc, etc.
[edit] Step 3: Text
It doesn't matter if your profile looks bad on your mate's computer. You can see it, and that's what matters, right?
Text is a fancy word for letters. You can change the colours of the letters too! Go with your favorites, or as always use randomcolour.com. For fonts, Comic Sans MS unique, fun, and as a added plus side, everyone has it. When going with text effects, such as strikeout and bold, use as many as possible. Text effects are even more fun then Comic Sans!
[edit] Step 4: Other things
Scrollbar colours don't appear in anything but IE, but only lifeless nerds use Firefox, right?
Most everything else is just colours or images, just use randomcolour.com and Google Image Search for these. If you need to apply any sort of effect, just choose one at random from the list. For cursors, wait, crosshair, and anything with resize is good.
[edit] Step 5: ???
This step has been lost to time, but I think it involves uploading the code to your profile.
[edit] Step 6: Profit!
Enjoy the millions of friend requests you get each day with your snazzy new profile!
