The Cow Moo Cult Parliament

Order, order! Welcome to the new Cow Moo Parliament, brought into existence by YTTE's May 2008 Decree for the Reformation.
If this is your first visit to the CMC Parliament please read the following.

This parliament is here to help bring a touch of democracy to the CMC. The Parliament is divided into three "courts". The Upper Court is for Chew Grasses, Four Stomachs and Elected CMC Courtiers and is for these users to vote and discuss matters of Cow importance. The Lower Court - which replaces the old "Lay Council" is for all CMC members who wish to suggest changes or ideas for the CMC, or have an opinion on a certain topic. The final court, the Open Court is for anyone who wishes to put forward ideas and opinions. That's nice and segregated, isn't it?

The CowCouncil still has supreme control and will help decided tied votes. It may overall decisions made by the CMC Parliament.

The following makes up the "Ground Law", and is the basic rules that this parliament should run by. They are quite complicated, but you should have a quick read of them before discussing anything in a court. They are also included in the May 2008 Decree for the Reformation.

  1. Electing new Courtiers. The Upper Court will elect new courtiers after a general discussion. A majority of two or more votes wins. If the vote is deadlocked the matter should be referred to the CowCouncil. Votes are always made individually for each proposed candidate. There should never be more members of the Upper Court than there are of the Lower Court.
  2. Voting. When a matter is brought up in the Lower of Upper Court then a vote can be called. Anyone may initiate this vote. A majority of two or more wins. A matter of promotion, punishment, expulsion or any other non-public matter can only be voted on in the Upper Court. Unless the CowCouncil decides otherwise all other issues should be voted on in both courts. If the issue passes through the Lower Court then it starts off with +2 in the Upper Court's vote. If a proposal fails in the Upper Court then it has been defeated, even if it wins in the Lower Court. Defeated proposals should be changed or altered before being re-submitted. If a proposal is defeated in the Lower Court then the CowCouncil should decided whether to vote upon the issue in the Upper Court. If the vote is then brought to the Upper Court it starts off on -1.
  3. Punishment and promotions. These issues should be voted upon only by Upper Court.
  4. The Speaker. The Speaker, once elected, holds the position until a Four Stomach decides to hold a second vote. The Speaker is in place to watch out for vandals, keep the house (and its users) in order, fail and pass votes, swear in new courtiers and bestow the honour of Courtier (after the house agreed on giving a certain user the honour). The Speaker also, like any honoured CMC member, can update the CMC announcements page, and should do so when bestowing the honour of Courtier.
All other issues can be resolved, as they arise, by Four Stomachs.

Make sure you edit the right court!

Don't be a sheep!

New topics should go at the TOP

The Upper Court (for Chew Grasses, Four Stomachs and Courtiers only):

[edit] Elect a Speaker

So we've decided on having a speaker. But who should do the speaking? The would have to be very good at speaking and what not...Preferably someone who's already a courtier, maybe... - [11:51 29 May] Sir FSt. Don Pleb Yettie (talk) QotF BFF NotM RotM UNPotM UGotM CUN PEE SR UnProvise

[edit] Issue:A CMC Cause?

I was wondering should the CMC actually do something? Actually have a...er...cause? A purpose, like some other groups do? Like the Grue Army fights vandals and stuff. Obviously they're all blasphemers, the whole lot of them. - 16:42 26 May Sir FSt. (QotF BFF NotM) YTTETalk!Read!Sign!Whore!CMC!Pee!

Indeed, that would be splendid. Isshiki Kotonashi-chama =3 | Talk! | IMRAC! | Sign! | Play! | Courtier Isshiki FBu! 20:34, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
Yeah... well it seems basically the same people are involved in this and UnProvise (ie, n00bs and Cajek). Promoting a charity? --Sir DJ ~ Irreverent OZ! 12:37, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
We could promote a charity relevant to cows or something, maybe... I like the idea, though! - [15:30 2 June] Sir FSt. Don Pleb Yettie (talk) QotF BFF NotM RotM UNPotM UGotM CUN PEE SR UnProvise
Vandals? VFD? I agree we need a cause.   CAKE J! <1:20, 09 Jun 2008>
How about vandals, VFD, QVFD, and promote Cows For Comfort Foods? Isshiki Kotonashi-kohai =3 | Talk! | IMRAC! | Sign! | Play! | Courtier Isshiki FBu! 20:19, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Issue:CMC Pwetty Pictures

I reckon, if anyone has any time to spare we really need some pretty CMC pictures. Pictures to go with the honours or ranks maybe? Or random, one off pictures? A customised score template (possible with a photochopped picture?) maybe, for Court votes? - 16:42 26 May Sir FSt. (QotF BFF NotM) YTTETalk!Read!Sign!Whore!CMC!Pee!

[edit] Vote:Speaker

Ok, so I've really, REALLY got to become slightly less active on Uncyclopedia, what with my exams. So I twas thinking that we should elect a "Speaker" for the Parliament, like in the British Parliament. They could just be there to keep vandalisation of the Parliament to a minimum, fail and pass votes, swear new courtiers in and also award the honour of courtier when the rest of the parliament had agreed on it...and stuff. Basically they would just be head of the Parliament, especially while I'm away. What do you think? - 12:08 26 May Sir FSt. (QotF BFF NotM) YTTETalk!Read!Sign!Whore!CMC!Pee!

Score: +2
What's all this about Nina? You didn't sleep with Nina, too, did you? - 14:45 26 May Sir FSt. (QotF BFF NotM) YTTETalk!Read!Sign!Whore!CMC!Pee!
  • Sure Meh. I'm kinda off Uncyc right now... --Sir DJ ~ Irreverent OZ! 11:46, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
Yay, I'm not so lonely in this big parliament place... Now that it's just you and me, DJ, we can maybe do something, um... - [11:49 29 May] Sir FSt. Don Pleb Yettie (talk) QotF BFF NotM RotM UNPotM UGotM CUN PEE SR UnProvise

[edit] Issue:Recruiting "Peeps"

Heh heh, I'm so down with the kids..."peeps"..."peeps" indeed. Damn it, I'm cool! Anyways, I was of seeing this template just now and how it could be used and was a-wondering if the CMC could not do something similar and maybe aim it at n00bs who need friends? It's borderline legal, I reckon. What do we think, "peeps"? - 18:57 25 May Sir FSt. (QotF BFF NotM) YTTETalk!Read!Sign!Whore!CMC!Pee!

With a little help from CMC Courtier Mgr. Cajek (to give his full title...) a rip-off of the UNSOC recruitment template has been created. Feel free to go around substing this on user's talk pages. Just don't get yo selves banned. - 17:53 26 May Sir FSt. (QotF BFF NotM) YTTETalk!Read!Sign!Whore!CMC!Pee!

[edit] So Now

Have you contacted DJ yet, YTTE? Isshiki Kotonashi-tan =3 | Talk! | IMRAC! | Sign! | Play! | Courtier Isshiki FBu! 21:21, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

No I haven't! In fact, due to my laziness, I'm going to pretend that this was actually all part of my plan and that this is an epic and mighty test of CMCness. You have to go out and contact the DJ, but will you brave the flames, the pain, the rape, and all the other shit? - 07:07 23 May Sir FSt. (QotF BFF NotM) YTTETalk!Read!Sign!Whore!CMC!Pee!
me?! I WAS NOT INFORMED! /me throws fire, pain, rape and other (specifically monkey) shit --Sir DJ ~ Irreverent OZ! 08:08, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
DJ! Out, out, bad DJ! Someone hasn't been reading the rules very well have they? You're not technically allowed to talk here until you are officially awarded the honour of "Courtier", which I'm about to do, but for symbolic effect I'm going to have to cross out your message. - 15:39 23 May Sir FSt. (QotF BFF NotM) YTTETalk!Read!Sign!Whore!CMC!Pee!

forward sl- sl- slapsh sl- sl- slops forward? Are you unliterate or something? --Sir DJ ~ Irreverent OZ! 11:56, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
I think we should maybe introduce compulsory schooling for young CMCers, especially if we want to avoid more DJ-style disgraces. I mean he's go mud all over this carpet. - 17:07 24 May Sir FSt. (QotF BFF NotM) YTTETalk!Read!Sign!Whore!CMC!Pee!
Wait wait wait? Do I have to say a pledge or something? --Sir DJ ~ Irreverent OZ! 03:21, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

Okay, what happens now? ...your maaaaajesty?   CAKE J! <18:17, 22 May 2008>
We sit about, we smoke some crack, break some laws, discuss making DJ a courtier, wait for something interesting to happen and/or talk about how we can get more members into the CMC. Any thoughts on any of those subjects? - 18:24 22 May Sir FSt. (QotF BFF NotM) YTTE
