Here's a first try at an animated Ouroboros. It's the full resolution of the image (squared up to 270 X 270 px) and 8 frames. It's about 275 kb, which is a bit large. I would expect the file size to go down dramatically if we shrink the image down to, say, 150 X 150 px. That would make it load faster. I'll try that in a bit.

Ouroboros wobbles a bit because the crests on his head have to clear the edges of the frame as he turns, and because he's not a perfect circle -- his tummy is fat and his tail and neck are skinny. He would turn more smoothly at, say, 16 frames instead of 8 frames...but that will boost the file size back up. We will see what else we can do with the magnificent Ouroboros. ----OEJ 22:38, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

WOW, that looks awesome! The wobble is hardly noticeable, but I wouldn't want to make the file size any larger than it has to be. [edit] Adding an Image to an Article

If you don't mind educating a new user a bit; How does one go about adding an image to an article? 206.188.56.24 19:17, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

Well, most of these things you learn as you go, but I'll give you a quick lesson:

1. Make sure the image is already uploaded. I'm sure you know how to do that; if not, you can ask me and I'll help you too.
2. Use two brackets [[ and ]] and place Image:imagename.xxx inside the brackets (imagename being the name of the image, .xxx being the format, .jpg, .png, .gif, et cetera).
3. Use the descriptions thumb, right, left, etc. to format the image, and place pipes ( | ) between them. Thumb makes the image a standard size, right or left aligns the image to the right or left of the page, and 200px makes the image 200 pixels wide (200 is just an example, you can use any number).
4. Use one more pipe, then place the caption if you want one.
5. So, in the end, it should end up something like [[Image:Ouroboros.png|thumb|left|200px|This is an example.]]

Which will end up looking like this on the page:
