I hope you enjoy editing here and being an Uncyclopedian! I know I sure don't. Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~) or use the "sign" button () above the edit box. I can't stress this enough, this is so important. Why? I don't know.

One of the biggest mistakes noobs make is creating articles on the mainspace without a {{construction}} tag on it. Those are the articles that will get deleted the fastest. What you need to do is go to your userspace to develop your articles. By that, I mean go to User:Sk8R Grl/article name here lol and make your page there. No one will mess with it, and you don't have to stress about a time limit or anything; take as long as you want to finish it.

If you get lost, feel free to drop me a line at my talk page, ask them kids at the Dump, ask a sysop on their talk page or add the following incantation: {{help}} to this page along with a message and someone will come along and help you if they can. Additionally, the Uncyclopedian Adopt-a-Noob program is there to bring experienced editors straight to you in exchange for money and referring friends to do the same. Well, some people like to set up their userpages like biographical articles. Others have simple tables with a bibliography and some uploaded images and such. Yerr, let me just remind you that, while we don't scream this from the rooftops like Wikipedia does, Uncyclopedia is NOT a social networking site, so we don't really care about your tastes in music and such. Try checking out some other userpages to see what I mean. Your userpage is really more for information on your Uncyclopedia related activities. I can help you set something up, what with colo(u)rful tables and whatnot. I'll set something up as your bibliography, and also give you some basic formatting stuff to work on. But ultimately, the content is up to you. Just try to follow other examples to make the content consistent with other userpages. Not like anyone really cares about your userpage, we really just want to see you out there doing important and interesting stuff. Have you thought about getting involved with Adopt-a-noob? A much as I appreciate the gesture, I have to say that I don't really believe that I'm deserving of UotM, or that I even really have a chance. UotM is a little more than a popularity contest, and if you look at all the work that UU has done, I think he's certainly done more for the site than I have. Whether or not you change your vote is up to you, I mean it'd be really cool to win, and I won't lie to you and say that it wouldn't be nice to at least see how well I do this month. But I just want you to be open to voting for other users, and not just your friends. Having an unbiased vote is important on this site, because that's the only way that awards go to the one who is really deserving. Could you please give some links showing examples of where SysRq has been 'pissy' to you. I have been watching what's going on here for a while, and have no idea what you are talking about Sk8RGrl. From what I have seen it appears to be the other way around. Just a few actual links from history pages (3 or 4 maybe) would suffice. If you can show me that SysRq really has been unpleasant to you, I would be happy to take over your adoption, but from what I see it really looks like you are starting to deliberately cause trouble and SysRq has been trying to calm you down. WOO what'd I miss? Oh, looks like everything's under control. Glad my colleagues could sort this out for me, I would have done it directly but I've been at work for the last 8 hours. Looks like you've calmed down quite a bit. Sorry I couldn't be here to work this out directly with you, I feel like the timing was a little bad. (since I was just getting on to check stuff on my way out the door when this happened) But I think everyone else has kinda explained things for me, and they're right. I wasn't trying to be condescending or anything, I just felt like since it was Luvvy's group that she should be the ones to make those kinds of decisions. I think that backing off of that just a little might make her feel better as well, just kinda take things easy for a while. I'm not mad at you. I feel like this whole incident will just help you to better understand how things work around here and that, as silly as we are most of the time, we have no tolerance for uncivil users.
