It's a trick I do in Special:Preferences. Instead of having only {{SUBST:nosubst|User:TheLedBalloon/sig}}, I have this:

{{SUBST:nosubst|User:TheLedBalloon/sig}} <small><small>{{subst:CURRENTTIME}}, {{subst:CURRENTMONTHABBREV}} {{subst:CURRENTDAY}}</small></small>
