See, I've grown tired of letting others do my audio when I have a perfectly good mock-serious voice myself. A while ago I got interested in video to my computer via USB, so I bought a package from Pinnacle systems for $100 which is sort of like this one. I didn't realize when I bought it that it came with a mic, so I put it to use as a replacement for a piece of crap which came with someone's computer, probably worth about $1.99 at Walgreens or something, which I'd been using since I started doing UnNewsAudio. I'm sure you could spend about $20 or so and be assured it's a good enough mic, but I'll look into some if you like. You can listen to anything I made in 2006 if you'd like an idea of how awful the el-cheepo computer mics are. Since I use lower bit-rate and other settings when creating my final mp3 for upload to save space on the UnServers (my files are among the smallest for time allotted in UnNews, a fact I'm stupidly proud of), I don't think even using my fancy-schmancy mic I bought for my guitar could enhance the quality appreciably. If you're waiting for somebody to say, "Go look for the mic, and for the sake of Allah, keep your voice low, and make some UnNewsAudios", then consider my having said it. If on the other hand you're trying to lure me into a diabiblical plot of some sort, I warn you I have to clear all quasi-religious rants with my wife... well, not really, but I don't want people to think I'm easy. Not funny for sober people Well as the completely sober author of the little article you deleted I will accept that it was a bit short but I am guessing here that you are of the American persuasion (as in USA). As such you under a severe handicap in having had your humour centre genetically removed. I really appreciate you placing my UnNews as lead article, but I reverted the changes you made. Now, did you do that as a joke, or do you really want it to look like that? I'm not sure with "hUNGARY" and all the red links. -- Kip teh Dip • Talk • Works • Faq • Vote in '08 • 17:24, Jan. 18, 2008

Actually, the hUNGARY is a play on so-called Hungarian notation, used by some programmers. Normally we all-caps the city, and and cap only the first letter of the country by an UnNews law, or something, so I reversed them as a sort of triple-entendre. As for red links, I have an idiosyncratic method of their placement; that's how I operate. FYI, undoing MY changes can get your kneecaps broken. Also, I Loved the article and the pics! Thanks for asking. Winter gets a bit tougher on us old gimpy Socialists collecting disability and otherwise siphoning valuable resources away from the war effort in Iraq. The changes in weather within the season seem to particularly affect us. For instance, today it's snowing lightly, and will continue sporadically until tomorrow afternoon, when it will change over to rain. The period during which these change overs happen, usually a week or so, kill us.

Otherwise, we've been doing well in terms of keeping our house somewhat neat and orderly, caring for our dog (who seems to have come down with cancer, but is happy and healthy enough for now), I've gotten my first paying job, albeit a small one, since 1996, my computer network is up, my studio is approaching completion, the music still gets composed in my head somehow so there is hope of completing the CD "The Collective Works of a Socialist", becoming more ashamed on behalf of my government and their money-grubbing cronies, and I'm on the verge of being able to study and practice to take tests for an MCSE certificate.
