GEneral question abuot wiki stuff

I am not sure how to communicate with other users. Like just now, a message came up on my page saying 'ive got mail' but if i reply to your comments, ON MY PAGE, do you get a notification that I have edited it ? Can you see that? I guess this is concerning if several people are editing a section, and I want to talk to them or do they all get a notification if anyone edits something? okay thanks ^^ if you steer me in the right direction i would be appercSquarepush3r 20:05, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

No, I do not get such a notification. The "You Have Mail" banner only happens for edits to your talkpage. You can, however, add pages to your watchlist (by clicking "watch" at the top of the page). This list will show edits made to all the pages on it in a nice layout and what not. I'm not sure what your talking about. You seem to have been able to edit my talk page just fine, aswell as editing both your signature, userpage, and the userpage of your old account. All of your edits (while few, I will admit, but you only registered your current account today) seem to point to an ability to edit. If you could explain the problem (maybe link me to a page that you can't edit?) I could probably diagnos it much better. Right, well I tried to ask Famine, but I can't edit his (or her?) talkpage. There have been others but I can't remember them, unfortunately. SRXT. {{{td}}}

Famine has set his talk page to be edited only by users who have been users for a certain amount of time. This keeps IPs from bugging him, but it also means that users who have only recently registered can't talk to him. I assume that the other pages that you were having trouble with had similar protection.
