World War 1 1/2 or I.V as the Aussies say, occurred precisely between World War I.IV and I.VI, which no one can remember, understandably. World War I.V was a conflict started in 1931.6 between Turkey and Newfoundland which escalated to include three other countries, Canada, Argentina and Niger. For some reason Fiji and Denmark claim to have been involved, something about a Superpower battle, but this claim has not been verified.

July of 1931 was a month of turmoil in the World, and it was all Turkey's fault. It began when Newfoundlanders and Newfoundlonians declared war on Turkey in ordeer to stop their 5am prayer chants to the head of the Islam religion - Pope Ular IV. Newfoundland lobbied the governments of the west to declare war. Only the Swiss actually listened and for the first time in their history - declared war, and by August, the Turks and Newfies (along with the Swiss) were dukin it out.

Initially other nations were hesitant to get involved, with the exception of France who, although not actually involoved in anyway, promptly surrendered. But the constant "accidental" sinkings of Canadian supply ships by Turkish subs provoked Canada to enter the fray. This new player on the war scene drastically tipped the scales in favour of the Newfoundelonians causing Turkey to seek its own allies. By December of 1931, Turkey had managed to bully the tiny African nation of Niger into joining the Turkish Entente and the balance was reestablished. For three more months the fighting raged, across the high seas of the Indian Ocean, and the lush rainforests of Antarctica without pause. Finally, Argentina tired of its fishing waters being obscured by dead Turkish and Newfie sailors decided to join and bring a quick end to the war. Argentina threw its lot in with the Newfies, whom they hated less, and promptly anniahelated the Turkish and Nigerian armies. Thankfully however Simon Western, angry at a potential Argentinian victory, saved the day by detonating himself in Argentina, restoring Britain as the World's leading power.

With the enterence of Argentina in WWI.V, Turkey's fate was sealed, and it quickly withdrew as much of its army as possible to defend the homeland. This act of defense, helped Turkey keep its sovereignty, but Niger was less lucky. After the war, Newfie and Canadian soldiers claimed all of Niger as their own, and split it into two colonies. North Niger became a colony of Newfoundland, and South Niger, of Canada. However this division would not last, and the split of Niger between the Canadians and the Newfies would become to the spark of WWI.3/4, two weeks later.
