What's Taters, Preciousss?
From Uncyclopedia, the content-free encyclopedia.
What's Tater's, Preciousss? is one of the age-old questions that has vexed mankind since time immemorial (although how we know this is a mystery as, well, "time immemorial" means that we can't remember it, yet here we are talking about what was happening in a time we supposedly can't remember).

[edit] Meaning
There is wide agreement among contemporary philosophers that the question is intended to highlight the inherent limits of language itself. By asking, "what's taters, preciousss," we lay bare the fundemental disconnect between the ontological sense of reality and the essentially descriptive function of language. In the tradition of noted philosopher Ballberry Wittgenstein, we come to realize that words can never equate to "things" in any meaningful sense, so we should just hang ourselves.
[edit] Popular Use
Many celebrities and public figures asked the famous question. In 1962, President John F. Kennedy is rumored to have placed a secret call to Russian premier Nikitia Kruschev, in which he asked "What's missiles, preciousss?" The historical veracity of this remarkable play on the famous question appears to be supported by classified documents recently leaked by the kid who works with the plumber.
[edit] Attempts to Resolve the Question
In the 1927 Western Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, Samwise Gamgee attempts to answer the age-old question, which is posed to him by Gollum, a senior White House staff member. Samwise replies "PO TAY TOES," an answer which drew widespread criticism from vegetable rights groups. As a result, the script was changed, and instead of saving Middle Class Earth from the evil power of the split-personality villain Sauronuman, both Gamgee and his shoeshine boy Frodo were killed in a hideous goat-herding accident.
