Definition: A female wiki contributor who takes over a wiki site and keeps it to herself. She will not accept anybody else's ideas and she likes to create the rules nobody has ever noticed before. Her favorite pastimes are shoring up a poor self-esteem, blaming others for her own errors and generally running around insisting that her work be attributed above everyone else's. She has a tendency to self-aggrandize and she dislikes any female who proves herself more capable (i.e. 99% of the females on the wiki).

On wikis where the community has been terrified into submission. Generally she will grow a small group of supporters who have been lulled into submission by her silver tongue. A wiki dominatrix will always know how to finely manipulate her supporters by insisting that they render services unto her. This will include editing her edits, fixing her errors, wiping her nose, and cheering her up when she is angry against non-inner circle users.

A wiki dominatrix is a very busy person. She believes the wiki site is her baby and that she should not unhook herself from it for anything other than the call of nature and that damned nuisance known as sleep.
She watches everything. Her eye is everywhere, following every move of those using the site, but in particular, of those who are her latest targets for reform.
No self-respecting wiki dominatrix will ever be caught doing recent changes patrol but she will be sitting watching it like a hawk, waiting for the rollback of her edits so that she can vilify the poor, helpless nerd who dared to do so.
Threatening others. This is a fond activity of a wiki dominatrix. When someone actually has the gall to stand up to a wiki dominatrix and call her shots, she will threaten to leave. The majority of users who comprehend that this situation has arisen will be waiting with bated breath for the moment she actually carries through this hollow threat. She never does. The longest she may remain off the site is sleep time, the most usual return time is half an hour to an hour.
Writing. A wiki dominatrix loves to write - after all, she has a head filled with ancient wisdom developed during years and years of childraising and husband tending (activities that no other mere mortal has ever performed). She has bundles of wisdom just waiting to ooze out and dazzle, voicing her personal angst, oops, correct observations.
Writing using others' work. When she isn't busy pouring out her own pearls of wisdom, she is busy recreating the wisdom of others and claiming as her own original thoughts.
Deleting other people's work. She claims to love all she lays her eyes on but she is frequently spotted placing deletion notices on many a piece of writing of another author. Reasons for doing so include: "I wrote a better one", "I don't like it" and "That author was not nice to me".

A wiki dominatrix is not easy to pick out for the noob. This is because everyone else in the wiki is just praying that the noob will be dumb enough to fall for her charms and deflect her attentions off them for a time and pour all her attention onto the noob. It is therefore extremely important for any noob, from wiki starter to new editor, to recognize the signs of a wiki dominatrix on the site.

You see a plethora awards on her personal page, most of these insisting that she is the best thing since sliced bread
She greets you with an accusation
She uses emoticons excessively to indicate what she's really thinking
Her additions to forums are generally ignored
She believes that at least one user a day is out to get her
Suffers from Wikipersecution Complex
Claims that every user on the site was originally trained by her and ought to be eternally grateful
