Wikitruth
From Uncyclopedia, the content-free encyclopedia.
Wikitruth is a quasi-hoax Wikipedia self-criticism site created, funded, and operated by David Gerard and Lir. Like this site it runs on the MediaWiki platform.
Most of the web design and articles on Wikitruth are written by Ta bu shi da yu and Daniel Brandt, who sprinkle the site with Brian Peppers and drama. Most of the articles attempt to avoid being not funny, although on several occasions it has broken away from the Wiki mold by being an educational experience. These rare glimpses of information are quickly buried under articles about gay fatties and women (occasionally both), ensuring nobody reads them.
The article about Wikitruth has been deleted from Wikipedia over 1,000 times. Jimbo Wales has placed a ban on all discussion of Wikitruth until Ragnarok.
Every time a new deleted article is reposted on Wikitruth, god kills a kitten.
Wikitruth has been declared a munition in Wikipedia and cannot be carried across article lines without declaration. On Saturdays, Wikitruth travels at the speed of sound.
[edit] Editing
Unlike most other wikis, Wikitruth cannot be edited by anyone. How the articles actually get on there is anyone's guess. Some believe it is the collective consciousness of all the editors of Wikipedia, while others believe it is some kind of sentient offshoot of the Wikipedia servers themselves, caused by the stress of so many people editing and reverting articles all the time. No crazy conspiracy theories have emerged yet, though.
