[edit] What Wikiversity is not

Like Wikipedia, Wikiversity is not a reliable source of information. Getting a degree from Wikiversity will cause you to get fired from your job at McDonalds. However, Bill Gates will personally come to your home and offer you a job writing Oscar Wilde quotes.

[edit] Early History

In the beginning there was Wikibooks and it was good. Oscar Wilde said unto thy let there be light and the Oscar Wilde Collection was born. And it was good. For a time the land prospered until the day the Spaghetti Monster came and squashed the Oscar Wilde Collection with its meatballs and cause the land of Wikibooks to fall unto darkness. And it was bad. Oscar Wilde to save thy most trusted collection from thy most wicked of meatballs, fled the land of Hyra, to the secret groves of Wikiversity in order to fight back the darkness. And it was good. The Oscar Wilde Collection grew strong under the light of Wikiversity.

[edit] Controversies

[edit] Larry Sanger vs Oscar Wilde

When Oscar Wilde started the "School of Oscar Wilde", Larry Sanger immediately sought to seek the deletion of the school and then after two hours of pontification called for Oscar Wilde to be banned from the internet as TROLLS are not welcome there. This caused heated discussion to be refueled over whether or not Larry helped Oscar start Wikiversity. Oscar claims that Larry did not help start Wikiversity, pointing to the fact Larry was too busy trying to claim responsibility for starting Wikipedia at the time.

[edit] Round vs Squire Corners

Much like the debates on whether the world is round or flat, Scholars continue to theories whether corners are indeed round or squired. Christopher Columbus the 12th started the "School of Corners" in order to unravel this academic mystery. Many research papers have been written as a result with no conclusive findings.
