Wu Cheng Yi
From Uncyclopedia, the content-free encyclopedia.
“I thought the last I saw of you was that cursed Qusay Bin Laden! So he thought that you were dead and underwent surgery to look like you.”
~ Hu Xi Cun (A character from Mediacorp's Metamorphosis drama series) on Ryan Hou (Also from Metamorphosis, who looks like Wu Cheng Yi)
“I wish I really had a son as capable as Qusay Bin Laden without his gay antics...”
~ Osama Bin Laden on Qusay Bin Laden who is his fictional son in the show

[edit] Appearances
Cheng Yi's appearance in most of the Mediacorp series or sitcoms are either mere cameos, or as a guest starring in that particular episode of the series. He made his first appearance in The Unbeatables III as a supporting role. He appeared in a few episodes of that series, portrayed as a mere rogue who works with the Cobra Organization of G.I. Joe. As a touch of humour, the series also made Cheng Yi into a homosexual and have Ix Shen play out the gay stereotypes which infuriated the homosexual community when the series aired.
Mediacorp liked the character of Cheng Yi so much so that they feature him again on variety shows or sitcoms like Phua Chu Kang. However, due to the controversy caused when he first appeared in The Unbeatables III, the homosexual characteristic was removed, instead focusing on parodying terrorists. Then in 2007, Mediacorp decided to write off his character like how the writers for South Park decided to write off Kenny McCormick. His last appearance would be in a major Mediacorp production.
His final role is much more prominent, this time as the main antagonist in Honour and Passion, a 2007 Mediacorp series sponsored by the Ministry of Defense. In this series, Cheng Yi is given a much more serious portrayal than in his previous incarnations. In this show, his homosexual characteristic returned again as one of the main highlights of the show, but however the intention was to portray the plight of the homosexuals in Singapore, who are otracised by people who viewed themselves as "normal". This time his performance was praised by the homosexual community for portraying them in a positive light.
[edit] Appearance in The Unbeatables III
- Actor: Ix Shen
- Role: Homosexual Terrorist
The Unbeatables III is partly sponsored by giant toy companies Mattel and Hasbro. Cheng Yi in this series is part of the Cobra Organization, allied with the new Cobra Commander. Apart from playing out some homosexual stereotypes, his character isn't used much until late in the series, where he turned out to be a turncoat who wished to own Yan Fei's casino and then leave the Cobra Organization to enjoy all the wealth himself. He created a cyborg named Meiyao (Vivian Lai) to spy on the casino and obtain important information. However, a vigilant security guard by the name of Ding Wei (Allan Wu) found out about the plot and destroyed Meiyao, forcing Cheng Yi to retreat.
In the finale, Cheng Yi re-appeared in an attempt to search for the Grimoire which belonged to Skeletor (Huang Yiliang). He tried to stop Skeletor from leaving Earth with a spellbook artefact which would greatly aid the Cobra Organization, but Skeletor blasts him and the Cobra Commander to a faraway place, in Afghanistan, where they are forced to live with the Taleban.
[edit] Appearance in Honour and Passion
- Actor: Ix Shen
- Role: Gay Muslim Terrorist
- True identity: Qusay Bin Laden
Wu Cheng Yi is the main antagonist in Honour and Passion, and is the most gifted man in the world due to his mutant ability to be able to manipulate and develop advanced technology to his desires. Alas, gifts always comes with a curse - Cheng Yi is a gay man who is despised by many in Singapore. Because of his homosexual status, he was unable to become an Army Commado, his desired masochist choice of vocation, and instead he became an Army Clerk. His fighting ability nearly rivals that of Bao Wenjing - He is able to defeat 29 armed men with a parang or sword, just one man short of to be equally as good as Wenjing.
Despite all that, he is best friends with his Commando friend Bao Wenjing, and he also works in the same camp as Wenjing after he left Army. Half-way in the series he was revealed to be a terrorist, formerly from Osama Bin Laden's Al-Qaeda. He even kidnapped his friend Picasso when he found out about his true name and identity - Qusay Bin Laden, the son of infamous terrorist Osama Bin Laden. Osama had decided to disown Qusay Bin Laden after he realised that this son of his is a gay. Devastated, Qusay Bin Laden left Al-Qaeda and underwent surgery to look like a Chinese, and came to Singapore to become a loner terrorist. He also formed a gay relationship with Wenjing's equally gay brother, Bao Wenzhong (played by Bryan Wong Lu Jiang), and the two shared their secrets as would a loving couple do. Qusay Bin Laden aims to create a haven for gays and lesbians in Singapore by decimating the hetereosexual population - He believes that homosexuals should dominate mankind. (Just like Magneto's ideals).
Qusay Bin Laden invented many devices and machines to plague and annoy the Singapore Military. After he was stopped from entering the camp with a camera phone to take pictures of guys showering, Qusay Bin Laden created a robotic dog with bionic eyes that can take photos to access camp without suspicions. The dog was remote-controlled by Qusay and can take photos at his command, and was made to take photos of top-secret documents which Officers had passed to clerks to read and print. Qusay Bin Laden also created powerful laser guns which he used to storm the Singapore Parliament, killing several politicians before he used a powerful explosive to blow up the entire building. In this way, Cheng Yi, or Qusay Bin Laden, showed that he is really determined to create an Empire for the Homosexuals.
Cheng Yi also hired a Rubbish truck and drove it into Bao Wenjing's camp. Knowing that in the SAF (Singapore Armed Forces), Rubbish trucks are the equivalent of a Military General's car, Wenguo and the RP Guards just let the truck in without asking the drivers inside to change for pass. To their surprise and shock, Ninja warriors jumped out of the rubbish truck and decimated everything on sight. Cheng Yi also appeared, and went into the Headquarters to gather all the top-secret documents from the camp. After finishing his business here, Cheng Yi and the Ninja warriors left, but not before throwing some money to Wenguo and the guards as a reward for granting them such an easy access to camp.
However, that wasn't the end we hear of this dastardly gay Muslim terrorist who fights for all homosexuals. He also blew up many of Singapore's famed landmarks, including the Esplanade, the Merlion, the Singapore Bird Park, the Singapore Zoo, the Istana, and so on. Wenjing was furious after he found out that Qusay Bin Laden and Cheng Yi are the same person. But it was too late - Qusay Bin Laden held the island of Tekong hostage, where thousands of Army HETEREOSEXUAL recruits stayed there. The terrorist threatened that if the Singapore government refused to break their alliance with the United States on the War on Terrorism and also refused to legalise homosexual marriages and gay sex, he would proceed to blow up that island with Nuclear explosives.
Upon hearing that his lover Cheng Yi is actually a Muslim terrorist wearing a turban, Wenzhong committed suicide: He doesn't want to be the lover of a terrorist. Wenjing the classic Singaporean hero, also refused to let Qusay Bin Laden have his way even though he was his former friend. He and the Special Operation Forces caught up with Cheng Yi and his Ninja warriors to have a final showdown. To Wenjing's shock, Cheng Yi underwent a bizarre surgery that turned him into a Transformer-like cyborg that can transform into a plane! Wenjing was no match for the cyborg Qusay Bin Laden in his current form, so he used his ultimate secret weapon - Wenjing morphed into a Power Ranger to fight the Transformer! A fierce battle commenced, and Wenjing finally destroyed Qusay Bin Laden by shooting him in the middle of the chest, which has a flashing red light (Like Ultraman).
[edit] Members of the Reformed Al-Qaeda of Homosexual Rights
This splinter terrorist group appeared in the famed Mediacorp series Honour and Passion. It is an offshoot of the infamous Al-Qaeda, and is headed by Wu Cheng Yi, also known as Qusay Bin Laden. Other than Qusay Bin Laden himself and the dozens of unnamed Ninja warriors featured in the show, there are a few other notable members in this group.
- Henry Thia as Fat Bastard Tan
A moron similar to Meeko Sun. He is the second-in-command of the Reformed Al-Qaeda of Homosexual Rights. He doesn't know how to take care of his subordinates, and that resulted in the deaths of several ninjas when Wenjing ambushed them in the forest. He threatened the ninjas to commit seppuku (Japanese way of suicide) if they do not obey him. It was in part to his poor management that causes Cheng Yi's (Aka Qusay Bin Laden) secret location in Tekong to be discovered by the Special Operation Force. In the finale, Fat Bastard Tan tried to drive a big Toyota to crush his enemy Wenjing, but the other commandos merely used a rocket launcher and snuffed out his life along with the car. The show does not tell if he is gay or not.
- Huang Yiliang as Huang Mengliang
A businessman who funds the terrorist group. He has ninja skills and is able to turn himself invisible with a cloaking device that Cheng Yi lent him. He wanted to see the destruction of the Singapore government. The show does not tell if he is gay or not.
- Wang Deyuan as David the Dog Devil
An obnoxious bastard who lost his right leg after a freak accident. However, with the help of Wu Cheng Yi, he now has a mechanical right leg which can flick out a poisoned dagger from the foot whenever he fights. He is the third-in-command of the terrorist group, and he plays rank (Let his subordinates do all the work while he slacks), causing many to resent him. The show does not tell if he is gay or not. In the finale, his head is sliced off by our heroic Wenjing.
- Moses Lim as Meeko Sun
A big, fat moron who was castrated during an accident. Qusay Bin Laden did not bother to give him mechanical balls to replace his lost testicles, as he's revealed to be gay anyway. He can use his heavy weight to crush his enemies, but he is such a coward that Cheng Yi was forced to make him a mere messenger. In the finale, Meeko Sun surrendered to the Commandos, fearing the power of their guns.
- Adam Chen as Big Mouth Dezmond
A former soldier who only smokes and drinks and do nothing until he left the Singapore army, where he joined the Reformed Al-Qaeda of Homosexual Rights. He thinks he is the biggest and the best terrorist in the group, but in the end Qusay Bin Laden suspected him of mutiny, and tore his throat out with a laser gun, killing him. The show does not tell if he is gay or not.
- Thomas Ong as Joakim Son of Michaelangelo the Master of Matthew the Ass (Joakim SOMMMA)
The former third-in-command of the terrroist group Reformed Al-Qaeda of Homosexual Rights. Like his later replacement, David the Dog Devil, he let all his subordinates do all the work while he slacks and pretends to order people around. Big Mouth Dezmond for once managed to said something correct about Joakim SOMMMA: "He's useless!" Joakim SOMMMA retired in the middle of the show after he decided to get some life by becoming hetereosexual. Yes, the show revealed that he is gay.
- Dawn Yeoh (姚懿珊) as Liang Xiao Nuo (梁小诺/梁小諾)
A stalker whom Wenzhong constantly tried to avoid. She is a fanatic supporter of gay's rights, although she was no homosexual. In the end, Cheng Yi recruited her into his fanatical terrorist group (The Reformed Al-Qaeda of Homosexual Rights), and used her as a suicide bomb to invade Wenjing's camp, since Singaporean soldiers are not allowed to check women, NOT EVEN THEIR BAGS!
[edit] Trivia
- There is a cross-over between The Unbeatables III and Honour and Passion - The characters Cheng Yi and Yan Fei appeared in both series. However, there is an inconsistency - Cheng Yi and Yan Fei are enemies in The Unbeatables III while Yan Fei actually aided Cheng Yi in his terrorist plan in Honour and Passion. Some fans who believed that there is continuity between the two series theorized that after the events of The Unbeatables III, Yan Fei became a mercenary who sided with neither good nor evil.
- In Honour and Passion, Cheng Yi is given greater character depth - He struggles with moral issues like homosexuality, killing, and friendship.
