No, your monetary donation will not make you an admin. Adminship is not for sale, it is earned through hard work.  Playing referee on the site, and cleaning up trash on the site is a pain, and it is even worse when you don't get paid for it. None of our admins get paid for anything - they are all volunteers.  And yes, as with any public wiki, there is a lot of trash to wade through. The admins are responsible for deletion of the worst of it. We have processes for this: Quick Votes for Deletion and Votes for Deletion. Non-admin registered users can put these pages on either deletion page. Confirmed non-admin editors can also change the article to make it better (meaning funnier).  For the worst of the worst created by repeat offenders, we have Ban Patrol to help bring these to the admin's attention for a game of whack-a-mole.  If you believe we need more admins, make positive contributions to the site, help create new good articles,  and help them fix up some of the worse articles. Keep the lines of communication open with the admins, and eventually they might give you the golden shovel award. If that is, you still actually want it after about a year.  Meanwhile, feel free to vote for sandwiches, provided we have not run out of them. 

It takes time to update a wiki, and money to keep it online.  As long as we can pay this out of pocket, we plan to keep the wikis online. But our pockets are not unlimited. As they say, time is money. Those who work full time may have more money than time. Those who work part-time or seasonally or are students may have more time than money. Please help us out, with either your time or your money.  Besides, spending time writing humor on a wiki can be a lot of fun. 

To obtain tax-deductible status, a form must be filed with the IRS, and a fee submitted. As of 2021, that fee was $250. In addition, a non-profit corporation must be created with the Secretary of State. This fee can be $300 upwards. Annual filing requirements of form 990 also require tax preparation and bookkeeping fees, or the cost of tax preparation software. and tax law update courses (yup, they change the rules every year).  We cannot do this alone.  

If you want to advertise your business, or make instant friends with the regulars on the sites, you might consider sponsoring a humor writing contest on a subject of your choice  and providing judges to judge the entries.  At present, none of our writing contests have prizes, other than bragging rights and a profile banner.  Contact an admin to facilitate this.  

Donating your time is probably one of the best ways to donate towards improving our content. Registered users create all of our good article pages. Unregistered users can also make positive contributions from time to time.  If you don't know what to do, lurk for a bit, and watch everyone else. 

We do not have any paid staff of any kind. If you are looking for employment, we do not have any funding at this time. Zero. zilch. If we were able to hire professional writers, comedians, and artists, this could make a huge difference in the quality of content. (If you are one, and feel like donating material  out of the goodness of your heart and comfortable with admin feedback on the material,  we welcome you with open arms.)  

 On the other hand, if you are a aspiring comedian, you could try out your material on us for free. Just keep in mind that nobody steps up to an open mic and says one or two sentences in a normal voice, then sits down, unless they want to be booed. It is next to impossible to do an impression in text form.  

No, we are not affiliated with any political party. We are also not politically correct, nor even correct on much of anything.  (We are content free as well as free content). We are equal opportunity: We make fun of everyone and everything equally.  Promotion of external websites, religions, or political views is strongly discouraged.  SEO optimization bot content is promptly deleted from the site, and any spammers banned.  We want to deal with real people...bots are generally not known for their humor.
