How we use your data: 

We care about your privacy, so we collect your personal information only as needed to deliver our content or access the websites. 

When you visit one of our sister sites, uncyclopedia.ca or uncyclopedia.co, your IP address is recorded. This IP address is used to identify contributors, and if not registered and logged in, will become a permanent record on any pages edited on the sites.

 When you create an account on the sites in order to become a Registered User, we collect information (Registration Data) such as your username and password, valid email address, and date of birth. You may optionally provide us with additional information including your first and last names, your gender, and your interests and hobbies.  We do not recommend disclosing your first and last name, or personal information such as address or phone number to other site visitors and users.  

We use this information to give you credit for your contributions, communicate with you, enforce site policies, and verify that certain legal requirements are met.  

Personal information we collect:

The categories of personal information we collect depend on how you interact with our Services, and the requirements of applicable law. Visitors are people who access the Services. Visitors include Registered Users who access the Services through their accounts and Non-Registered Users who access the Services without using an account. We recognize that most Visitors are Non-Registered Users.

You do not need to be a Registered User in order to access most information on the Services. Being a Registered User is only required for certain activities, such as creating content, page management, competition entries, creation of discussion pages, and admin access.  Additional restrictions may vary between our sister sites, uncyclopedia.ca and uncyclopedia.co. Discord access is subject to the privacy policy of Discord.  

Account Creation. When you create an account on Uncyclopedia in order to become a Registered User, we collect information such as your username and password, email address, and date of birth. You may optionally provide us with additional information including your first and last names, your gender,  and your personalized signature information.  We refer to the information provided at account creation as “Registration Data.”  You may also optionally provide us information about your hobbies and interests after registration.  It is each individual's responsibility to provide us with true and accurate registration data for site maintenance and administration purposes. 

Certain websites and apps used or linked in the Services  may require you to provide additional information, such as your postal mailing address, telephone number, and payment information.  

Information provided to other linked sites, such as Paypal and social media sites, are subject to the Privacy policy of those sites. 

Information sharing policy:  This site uses Google analytics to track visitors for the purpose of counting the number of page views and volume of site traffic.  

We will never deliberately share your information with marketers and commercial advertisers.
